Texts: The Art of Electronics by Horowitz and Hill, and Schaum's Outline of Introduction to Digital Systems by Palmer, Perlman, and Perlman.Pre-requisite: PHYS 223 or equivalent |
PHYS 343-345 is a 3-term sequence in instrumentation, largely (but not entirely) dealing with electronics. It is a required part of the physics program, but is also taken by Chemistry majors who naturally find it invaluable. It is also taken by pre-engineering students, both those in the 3/2 Physics/Engineering program and by those who will simply transfer later on.
This term, PHYS 344, will focus largely on digital techniques.
