Waves and Quantum Theory (PHYS 322)

Click here for the catalog description.

Instructor: Dr. Tom Herrmann

This is the second term of the PHYS 321, 322 sequence, Waves and Quantum Theory. It is generally taken by physics majors and by chemistry majors who want to do more than the minimum requirements for the chemistry degree. In this course, we review wave optics, spend time on multielectron atoms and their optical spectra, delve into quantum statistics, learn a little condensed matter theory, and study the nucleus. So much to learn, so little time!
